The McGuinness family, Charles, Billy, Chris "Dodie", and Casey opened Dodies in November 1989.  All of us being from "The Big Easy" feel that Dodies is a blend of Cajun and New Orleans cuisine.  Our recipes come from Aunt Lou-Lou, Aunt Daisy, Aunt Susan and of course Mireille Lanusse McGuinness.  Everything is prepared by order, so we know you will enjoy our family's cooking.

About Dodies Cajun Cafe

The original location opened in 1989 at the corner of Lowest Greenville and Richmond Ave. (across from Whole Foods Market). This Dodie's was opened with the intent on bringing authentic New Orleans food the the DFW metroplex. Our newest location in Addison has an extensive menu featuring authentic cajun cuisine.  From world famous Po-Boys and New Orleans Favorites, pasta dishes, grilled and blackened fish to our lip smackin butter rich bread pudding!  We will be hosting huge parties celebrating Mardi Gras, St. Patrick's Day, Fourth of July (great view) and more.

Have an event?  We have the place!  Our closed in patio (Mud Bug Pub) is perfect for hosting private parties and meetings.  Contact the management staff and we can set it up!

Our signature boiled crawfish platters are available January through June, give or take a few weeks.

 Our hours of operation are 11am - 2am daily. We do not accept reservations, but would appreciate the heads up on a bigger group coming in.
