Addison Fire Department Responds to Crash at Airport

ADDISON, Texas — August 20, 2018 — Addison Fire Department rescued three people from a single engine aircraft that crashed on the Addison Airport during takeoff.  The crash occurred about 4:15 PM, Saturday, August 18.  Despite significant damage to the aircraft, there was no fire.

The victims – as yet unidentified – included two who were transported to Plano Medical Center by ambulance and one to Methodist Hospital of Dallas by helicopter.  Their injuries were described by responders as serious. 

The Federal Aviation Administration was on-scene shortly after the incident.  Any questions regarding the aircraft or the crash should be addressed to them.
