Since 2006, FIFA has taken its iconic trophy on the road prior to the World Cup to allow fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see and take photos with this famed symbol of soccer. Ahead of Qatar 2022, the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola is visiting all 32 nations that have qualified for the tournament, including three stops in the United States. Galaxy FBO, which officially opened at Addison Airport last week, was selected to host one of the three stops. Coca-Cola held a media event at Galaxy on Sunday, November 6 that included Governor Greg Abbott. Mayor Joe Chow, Deputy Mayor Pro Tempore Lori Ward, Council Members Guillermo Quintanilla and Darren Gardner, and Interim City Manager Hamid Khaleghipour were also in attendance not only to show their support for Addison's newest business but also to catch a glimpse of both the trophy and the incredible Coca-Cola plane that chauffers it around the world.
