On April 19, 2022, Addison held a ribbon cutting for the new U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Airport Administration Facility at Addison Airport. The project, which began in October 2019 and was completed on budget, was divided into two main components: airside (the Customs ramp and associated improvements to Taxilane Tango) and landside (the building and associated improvements including the driveway, parking lot, landscaping, and fencing). At the November 8 City Council Meeting, Garver Engineering's Senior Project Manager/Aviation Leader Mitchell McAnally, PE shared some of the lessons learned throughout this 2.5-year project.
