Pardon Our Dust...
At a Council Work Session on March 22, UDR previewed its revised concept plan. The revised master plan shows additional office space than previously shown as well as a realigned retail cooridor and new park layout.
They also presented development plans for the next phase of the Vitruvian Park development. Vitruvian West will include three apartment buildings at the intersection of Marsh Lane and Vitruvian Way, with a state of the art fitness facility and a resort-style pool. Vitruvian West I and the amenities center will be the first buildings constructed.
In addition the apartments, UDR plans to overhaul the Tom Thumb-anchored shopping center on Marsh Lane, which they also own. Tom Thumb will receive a facelift, but the remainder of the center will be razed and rebuilt.
These plans will be coming to the Planning and Zoning Commission for consideration on Apri 19, 2016 l and then to the City Council for approval on May 10, 2016.
Development plan approval is a ministerial function of the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council. The development plan will be compared to the standards and requirements approved for Planned Development O16-003. If the development plan complies with all requirements, then it must be approved.
Construction is slated to begin this summer.
