Kaboom Town! Will be Fireworks-Only Event

Council made the decision at its June 9 meeting that the 2020 Addison Kaboom Town! fireworks show on July 3 will go on. This will be a fireworks-only event. Due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements, Addison Circle Park will be closed to the public and the 2020 Watch Party in Addison Circle Park, as well as the Addison Airport Airshow, have been canceled.

The fireworks, which are presented in partnership with Star 102.1FM and Spectrum Reach, can be seen city-wide, and there are four ways Addison recommends you view them:

• Book a staycation in one of the over 20 hotels in Addison, many of which have a view of the display. Watch the 30-minute fireworks show from hotel property and avoid the post-show traffic.
• Enjoy great food while watching from the patio of your favorite Addison restaurant.
• Watch from your car. Find a parking lot and watch the fireworks display from the safety of your car. Listen to the simulcast on Star 102.1 FM.
• Stay home and watch the fireworks from the comfort of your living room on a computer or TV screen. Addison Kaboom Town!® fireworks will be live-streamed on social media.
