Council Discusses Strategic Planning Process

Since 2016, Addison's City Council has met annually in May or June to discuss strategic priorities for the Town. A consultant from Strategic Government Resources (SGR) has led these interactive discussions and aided the Council in identifying Strategic Pillars and Milestones to provide clear direction to Staff as they developed their budgets and activities for the next fiscal year. At its October 25 meeting, Council reviewed Addison's current strategic planning process and strategic planning processes used by our comparator cities.

Council discussed beginning the annual planning process in January before staff starts budget planning and then holding a retreat in May or June to bring newly elected Council members up-to-date on the pillars and milestones.
