Council Member Hughes Appointed as Primary Representative to the Regional Transportation Council

The Regional Transportation Council is a 44-member independent transportation policy-making body which determines how regional transportation funds should be spent. The municipalities of Richardson and Addison share one representative and rotate the primary appointment to ensure the interests of both cities are represented.  

At its August 27 meeting, the Council appointed Council Member Ivan Hughes as the primary representative and Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker as the alternate representative.
