Mayor Chow Welcomes NAFSA Region III Conference

On Monday, November 4, Mayor Joe Chow welcomed around 400 attendees to the National Association for Foreign Student Affairs (NAFSA): Association of International Educators Region III Conference at the Marriott Quorum. NAFSA is the world’s largest nonprofit association dedicated to international education and exchange, working to advance policies and practices that ensure a more interconnected, peaceful world today and for generations to come. Mayor Chow encouraged the attendees to get out and experience Addison, but also shared his story of being an international student and his path to becoming a U.S. citizen which resonated with the educators. NAFSA Region III Chair Lauren Jacobsen-Bridges presented Mayor Chow with a certificate of appreciation for his contribution to their conference.
