September 19 is North Texas Giving Day

Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour online giving event on Thursday, September 19 that is designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about in one easy-to-use platform. Several non-profit organizations who support the Addison community and received grants from the Town in Fiscal Year 2019 are participating in North Texas Giving Day: Addison Arbor Foundation, The Cavanaugh Flight Museum, The Family Place, Metrocrest Services, WaterTower Theatre, World Affairs Council, and Woven Health Clinic.

The Addison Arbor Foundation is dedicating all proceeds from North Texas Giving Day to help replace trees lost in Addison during the storms in June. Addison lost close to 300 trees and the Parks Department has identified 160 trees that need to be replaced throughout the Town to restore our park areas. The Addison Arbor Foundation is donating $10,000 towards this effort and also will match all cash donations up to another $10,000.
