Rising Aviation Senior Staff with Addison EDT team

On Wednesday, December 8, Economic Development & Tourism Director Orlando Campos and Economic Development Manager Wilson Kerr visited Rising Aviation, a private STEM High School located at the Addison Airport. The Addison team met with officials from the school including CEO and Founder Scott Meehan, Principal Donnie Houston, and VP of Development Nate Scott. Rising Aviation is a STEM accredited high school that focuses on educating students with career aspirations in the aviation industry. The school enables its students to not only graduate high school with a STEM accredited high school diploma, but also with pilot and drone licenses and experience in aviation management. With certified flight instructors and aviation management professionals on staff, Rising Aviation allows its students to enter the next phase of their education or directly enter the workforce with advanced, professional aviation skills. 2021 was Rising Aviation’s inaugural year and Addison is excited to see their presence grow in the community and at the airport.
