Local Business Resources

Addison recognizes that local businesses are the back-bone of the local economy; so cultivating an environment that is business friendly is critical to the overall success of the community.  Economic Development Department staff is available to assist local companies get better connected in the community and to assist in addressing business needs or community concerns.  Staff can help companies find spaces to grow their business, identify potential local suppliers, assist with staffing resources, provide information about the community, and identify other potential resources that can facilitate growth and retention.  Local companies are encouraged to contact Wayne Emerson, Economic Development Director for help.

In addition to the Economic Development Department, the Town of Addison works closely with various local organizations that can help provide additional support to existing businesses.  We encourage you to learn more about them:

Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce:  The Metrocrest Chamber of Commerce is a member driven organization whose mission is to create economic prosperity for their members by providing programs, resources, and support that assist and benefit business, government and citizens resulting in a vibrant place to live and work.  The Metrocrest Chamber represents the cities of Addison, Carrollton, and Farmers Branch.

North Dallas Chamber of Commerce:  Membership in the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce allows businesses to develop their business, grow their business network, keep up to date with local issues, and make Dallas a better place to live, work, raise a family and build a business.

Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce:  Formed in 1909, the Dallas Regional Chamber represents the entire North Texas Region.  With more than 900 members including more than 20 Fortune 1000 companies, the Chamber can help businesses connect with other business leaders, support economic development initiatives, serve on the front line of attracting talent to the region, shape public policy, and influence education and workforce efforts just to name some of the few initiatives of the Chamber.

World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth: The mission of the nonprofit, nonpartisan World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth is to promote international awareness, understanding and connections to enhance the regions’ global stature and to prepare North Texans to thrive in our complex world.

Texas Consilium: The Texas Consilium exists to help Texas manufacturers, distributors, contractors, transportation services and other companies by driving profitability, growth and enjoyment from business.  They are in the business of business improvement.  Their aim is to remove the hurdles that block growth and impair profits.
