Benihana Ribbon Cutting

On August 24, Mayor Joe Chow was joined by Mayor Pro Tempore Kathryn Wheeler and Council Members Darren Gardner, Guillermo Quintanilla, and Eileen Resnik at the official ribbon cutting for the new  Benihana Japanese Restaurant at 5000 Belt Line Road. Also in attendance were Interim City Manager Hamid Khaleghipour, Deputy City Managers John Crawford and Ashley Shroyer, and Metrocrest Chamber President Hayden Austin.

During the spectacular event, CEO Tom Baldwin welcomed guests with a Taiko Drum Performance and the traditional breaking of the Kagamibiraki Sake Barrel. Taking over the old Kobe Japanese Steakhouse location in Addison Walk, Benihana features 23 teppanyaki tables and a full-service sushi bar. The newest Addison restaurant officially opened to the public on August 26.
