Bilingual Childcare and Preschool Opens First Texas Center in Addison

On Wednesday, September 28, Council Member Eileen Resnik and Economic Development and Tourism Director Orlando Campos attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Tierra Encantada. A Minneapolis-based Spanish immersion childcare and preschool program, the Addison location is the company's first in Texas. Designed for children 6 weeks to 6 years, the curriculum is focused on bilingual education that fosters early cognitive development and teaches respect for diversity. An added bonus for busy parents, the center also provides organic meals cooked fresh by an in-house chef, as well as cloth diapers and wipes for all children. The 10,000 square foot newly renovated space includes 10 classrooms for infant to preschool ages and has both inside and outside play areas.
