Mayor Chow Delivers Grant Fund Checks to Addison Businesses

On Tuesday, October 8, Mayor Joe Chow and Economic Development and Tourism Director Orlando Campos hand-delivered checks to some of the companies who were granted funding through the Addison Cares Lease/Mortgage Assistance Grant Program. Addison launched the program in July to help provide support to small businesses adversely affected by COVID-19. The Town established the fund through CARES Act funding distributed by Dallas County and each grant was valued at 75% of a business’ gross lease or mortgage for two months, for a maximum grant award of $10,000 per company.  Twenty-one companies who applied for the program were eligible and over $120,000 has been awarded. Addison will be also launching a relief program for local hotels that have been adversely affected by revenue declines as a result of COVID-19.
