Mayor Joe Chow (not pictured) and Council Members Darren Gardner, Guillermo Quintanilla, and Eileen Resnick (not pictured), were joined by City Manager David Gaines, Economic Development & Tourism Director Orlando Campos, Fire Chief David Jones, and Deputy City Manager Ashley Shroyer on Tuesday, March 28 at the Metrocrest Services' 18th Annual Keyholder Breakfast. More than 500 community members gathered together to learn more about how community spaces contribute to the well-being and quality of life of individuals and communities.

This annual event typically raises funds to support the programs of Metrocrest Services that benefit area families and seniors in the Metrocrest area, including Addison. However, the focus of this year's event was supporting the capital campaign for the organization's new home at Josey Lane and Belt Line Road. They currently have raised 96% of their $15.8 million campaign goal. You can learn more about the new building and the impacts it will have on the Metrocrest communities at www.msbuildingourfuture.org/

Over the last year, Metrocrest Services has provided nearly 3.9 million meals, assisted almost 5,000 people with rent or utility service, and given support to over 300 unsheltered neighbors. The mission of Metrocrest Services is providing hope through programs that lead to self-sufficiency and foster independence. To learn more about the services offered by Metrocrest Services, as well as current needs and volunteer opportunities, visit www.metrocrestservices.org.
