Belt Line Road Electronic Sign Update

While Addison has seen progress on the Belt Line Road electronic sign, the project is slightly behind schedule due to the impact of the February freeze and COVID-19-related materials shortages. To date, the engineering, permitting and utility location has been completed, the foundation has been poured, and the electronic display units and pedestal have been manufactured and are awaiting installation. Over the next three weeks, the contractor will form and pour concrete for the traffic barriers and pedestal. The steel frame fabrication is slated to be completed the beginning of October and will be erected the middle of October, weather permitting. Installation is slated to be complete the end of October with an anticipated "go live" date the beginning of November.
