DART Hosts Silver Line Meeting

On Thursday, January 30, DART hosted a community meeting at the Addison Conference Centre to discuss the progress of the Silver Line. Mayor Joe Chow, Mayor Pro Tempore Tom Braun, and Council Members Ivan Hughes, Paul Walden, and Marlin Willesen were joined by more than 100 people to hear more about this exciting project.

Members of the DART team shared that the Design-Builder for the Silver Line Project, Archer Western Herzog, has begun field construction along the 26-mile alignment. Work will be conducted in and along the ROW, with occasional movement of workers and construction equipment at public grade crossings.

In addition to the preliminary field work, DART is also finalizing the design of the Addison Transit Center station and other improvements along the rail line in Addison and will have more to share in the near future.
