Taste Addison continues to build upon its historic status with three-day festival of food and fun!

Addison changed the dining scene in North Texas forever in 1993 when they pioneered Taste Addison, a chef-driven festival with restaurant quality cuisine, world-class entertainment and fun for the whole family.  Now, 25 years later, the fun continues as Taste Addison returns May 31 – June 2, 2019 at Addison Circle Park.

The legendary festival will feature dozens of Addison restaurants providing the opportunity to sample their signature dishes for a fraction of the cost of a night out and talented chefs teaching their insider secrets from a state-of-the-art chef’s stage.  Event-goers can relax in the beautifully-appointed 12-acre Addison Circle Park while listening to some of the country’s favorite entertainers and more.

“With an iconic event like Taste Addison, it is so important that we don’t just rest on our laurels,” notes Addison Director of Special Events Jasmine Lee. “We work to make sure every year we add new components and really elevate our guest experience.”

Taste Addison will include a number of new features this year.  For the first time since its inception, the festival plans to offer diners several unique pop-up restaurant experiences within the park.  Additionally, guests at Taste Addison will be able to pay at any booth with cash, credit card or Tasty Bucks. A full list of event features and entertainers will be available soon at TasteAddisonTexas.com.

What Addison lacks in size (it’s only 4.4 square miles), it makes up for in quantity.  The city is home to more restaurants per capita than anywhere in the United States, making it ideally suited for a food-focused festival like Taste Addison.

“Addison has a restaurant history that is really unparalleled,” explains Addison’s Director of Public Communications Mary Rosenbleeth. “The Town has been thought of as the ‘Broadway’ of the restaurant industry.  Early on, brands determined that if they could make it in Addison they could make it anywhere!”

Addison is home to the oldest Chili’s in the U.S., and the original location of such brands as Texas de Brazil, Fogo de Chao, Cantina Laredo and more.  Additionally, a strong cadre of independent chefs and restaurateurs have made Addison their home.
