April is National Volunteer Month!

During 2018, 194 Addison volunteers donated a total of 3,184.25 hours. Independent Sector, a national membership organization that brings together a diverse set of nonprofits, foundations, and corporations to advance the common good, has estimated the value of a volunteer hour to be $24.69 per hour which puts the value of our volunteers' time at $78,612.

Our volunteers really enjoy giving back to the community they love. You'll find them in Town offices answering phones and at special events greeting guests. Many have formed friendships not only with other volunteers, but also with Town staff. While we do have Addison residents who volunteer, we also have volunteers from Dallas, Farmers Branch, and Carrollton. We even have some who come all the way from Anna and Fort Worth just to help with our events.
