Council Gets Update on Airport Southeast Quadrant Redevelopment

Council approved a ground lease with Black Forest Aviation (BFA) at the December 11, 2018 City Council Meeting. At the April 9 Council meeting, Assistant Director of Development Services Charles Goff gave Council an update on the project that calls for a three-hangar Fixed Base Operator (FBO) operated by Galaxy Aviation on Addison Road across the street from Addison Circle. BFA completed Phase I and II environmental site assessments in mid-February and the Airport is preparing a remediation plan. The inspection period ends on April 12, 2019 or upon acceptance of the remediation plan, whichever is later. BFA anticipates construction to start late Summer 2019.
