At its August 27 meeting, Council approved the locations of two new public art pieces proposed by the Addison Arbor Foundation (AAF). The first is a stainless steel sculpture by Art Fairchild called Tango Fantasia that will be located in the half circle drive in front of the Addison Conference and Theatre Centre. The sculpture finish will include a wire brushed texture and mirror finish and will be illuminated with color LED lights at night. You can watch the Council discussion on the new Fairchild art piece here.

The second piece is a powder coated steel and cable sculpture planned within the public art easement on the southeast side of the AMLI development near Addison Circle. The 18-foot-tall sculpture which has been named Spectra, will be created by artist Scott Shubin and be located on Spectrum Drive. The sculpture and installation are funded by a donation from AMLI Development. You can watch the Council discussion on Spectra here.
