May 9 City Council Meeting Postponed to May 17

According to Addison's Charter, "returns of all municipal elections shall be made by the election officers to the Council at the first City Council meeting following the election, which shall be the meeting to canvas the election and declare the results in accordance with state law." Since it typically takes Dallas County 10 days to deliver the canvassing results of an election, Council has postponed its May 9 meeting until May 17. This date is subject to change if results are not received before the May 17 meeting. Addison posts agendas on the Town's website three days prior to a meeting.

The May 17 meeting is scheduled to begin at 6pm and will be held at Addison Town Hall, 5300 Belt Line Road.
