Planning and Zoning Commission

The Planning and Zoning Commission is an advisory body that hears and makes recommendations on matters related to land use, zoning and planning. Meet on a monthly basis.

Board of Zoning Adjustment

The Board of Zoning Adjustment (BZA) is an independent, quasi-judicial body who is empowered to grant exceptions to the Town’s Zoning Ordinance that are in the public interest and where, due to unique conditions that may exist on a property, a literal enforcement of the Zoning Ordinance would result in unnecessary hardship or prohibit an owner from all reasonable use of the land. Meet on an on-call basis.

Community Partners Bureau

The Community Partners Bureau is comprised of residents appointed by Council to represent the Town of Addison with its Community Partners (non-profit organizations).  Council will be considering liaison appointments for the following non-profits:

Dallas Cat Lady: The mission of the Dallas Cat Lady is to reduce the homeless cat population through fostering, adoptions, and trap-neuter-release in the Dallas area.

Metrocare Services: The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Metrocare provides quality, accessible, and comprehensive mental health care to post-9/11 veterans, service members, and their families.

Metrocrest Services:  Metrocrest Services is focused on assisting families, individuals, and senior adults who are coping with crisis situations, need help stabilizing their lives, or require support to live independently.

Woven Health Clinic: Woven Health Clinic is a charitable clinic that provides free and low-cost health care services for people who live in Dallas, Carrollton, Coppell, Addison, and Farmers Branch who cannot afford it.
