Public Hearings

The following Public Hearings will take place at the Tuesday, December 10 City Council Meeting which will begin at 7:30pm at Addison Town Hall, 5300 Belt Line Road. The meeting agenda is available here.

Case 1804-SUP/El Rincon: Present, discuss, and consider action on an Ordinance to change the zoning on property located at 5004 Addison Circle, which is currently zoned Urban Center, UC, by approving a special use permit for a restaurant with the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption only. 

Case 1805-SUP/Chamberlain’s: Present, discuss, and consider action on an Ordinance to change the zoning on property located at 5330 Belt Line Road, which is currently zoned PD, Planned Development, through Ordinance 496, by approving a special use permit for a restaurant with the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption only, in order to allow an expansion in floor area. 

Case 1806-SUP/TCA Portable School Building: Present, discuss, and consider action on an Ordinance changing the zoning on property located at 17001 Addison Road, which is currently zoned Planned Development, PD, through Ordinance O16-040, by approving a special use permit for a temporary portable school building. 

There will also be a Public Hearing held at the Charter Review Commission meeting that will be held on Thursday, December 12 at 6pm at the Addison Tree House, 14681 Midway Road. The meeting agenda will be posted here three days prior to the meeting.

Charter Review: The City Council recently appointed a commission of residents to review Addison’s Charter and recommend any changes that should be made to the document. As part of their review, the Commission will be holding a public hearing to gather input from the community on the Charter.
