NCTCOG and EPPC Award Regional Service Excellence Award to Farmers Branch's Emergency Management Specialist

On behalf of the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) and the Emergency Preparedness Planning Council (EPPC), Addison Fire Chief David Jones and Council Member Ivan Hughes presented the Regional Service Excellence Award to the City of Farmers Branch's Emergency Management Specialist Lauren Sanchez at their August 15 EPPC meeting. Shortly after the plane crash at Addison Airport on July 30, Lauren offered her time and expertise to help set up a Family Assistance Center and coordinate efforts among multiple agencies to provide support and updates for the families of the victims. Thank you, Lauren, for your service during this tragic event.
