In Texas, the weather can change in the blink of an eye. To better serve our community, we've consolidated all the information you may need when bad weather hits the area into one place. During any emergency, we will post information updates on the Town's Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as on Nextdoor. Up-to-date closure information during weather events posted on this page can also be accessed by calling 972-450-7005.

If we can't reach you, we can't alert you! Get alerted about severe weather and other emergencies in Addison by signing up for Addison Alert, our Emergency Alert Program. Report a Power Outage

Please do not call the Town of Addison to report power outages. Instead, you can call Oncor at 888-313-4747 or report your outage on Oncor's website by clicking the button below. Make sure to sign up for Oncor Alerts so you'll be texted status updates. To skip online registration, text REG to 66267.

Report a Gas Leak

If you suspect a natural gas leak in your home or outside, leave the area IMMEDIATELY and from a safe distance call 911, then call Atmos Energy at 1-866-322-8667. Emergency lines are available 24 hours a day.

Practice Fire Safety

Per the 2018 International Fire Code, adopted by the Town of Addison, automatic fire sprinkler systems shall remain in service at all times. For questions about these systems, please contact the Addison Fire Department Fire Marshal at (972) 450-7221. If you use a generator during winter weather conditions, make sure to follow safety guidelines.
