Addison Athletic Club Opens May 18 with Limited Hours

The Addison Athletic Club will reopen on Monday, May 18, but will operate on a reduced schedule. In order to accommodate Governor Abbott's 25% capacity requirement and to ensure the appropriate amount of social distancing, the maximum number of guest allowed in the club will be capped at 60 at one time. In accordance with the Governor's executive orders, guests will be required to wear gloves that fully cover from the wrist to the fingers while exercising and are encouraged to wear face masks. To faciliate a safe reopening, members are asked to wear their masks when they enter and exit the building. Gloves will not be provided, so guests must bring their own. Staff will be using a contactless process to check in members and we encourage members to bring their own water bottles.

All guests will be required to clean equipment prior to and after use. This is a club policy, but it is also a requirement of the state’s order. You can find the state’s checklist for gym patrons here.

Monday – Friday: 7am - 7pm (closed from 2pm – 3pm for deep cleaning)
Saturday: 8am - 5pm (closed from 1pm – 2pm for deep cleaning)
Sunday: Closed

What is open for use by our members:

• Limited Fitness & Cardio Equipment
• Gym
• Walking Track
• Areas Designated For Fitness Instructors (no classes are currently being held)
• Outdoor Tennis / Pickleball, Volleyball and Basketball
   

What will be unavailable for use:

• Childcare Services
• Indoor Pool & Hot Tub (showering is required prior to entering and showers are closed)
• Racquetball Courts
• Locker Rooms - Including Steam Room & Sauna (state requirement)
• Library
• Community Room
• Coffee Bar
• Ping Pong
• Foosball
• Outdoor Swimming Pool

There will not be any in-person classes or senior programs at this time. Programs will still be offered virtually until they can be phased back in, so please follow the Athletic Club's Facebook page for more details.

Staff will not take reservations for the Outdoor Pavilion or other group gathering spaces until executive orders allow larger gatherings.
