Addison Earns Triple Crown Award from GFOA

At the October 25 meeting, CFO Steven Glickman announced that the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has named Addison as a 2020 Triple Crown Winner. GFOA's Triple Crown designation recognizes governments who have received the organization's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting or Canadian Award for Financial Reporting, Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award, and Distinguished Budget Presentation. Addison is one of only 317 governments to receive the Triple Crown for Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 and only 22 of those governments are in Texas.  

Addison has received the Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting for 45 consecutive years and the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for 35 consecutive years. The Town received the Popular Annual Financial Report Award for the first time in FY2020, which was the first year the Town produced that report.
