Celestial Pump Station Landscaping Gets A Facelift

The Celestial Pump Station located at 5510 Celestial Rd was designed to resemble the local residential homes near Celestial Park. The building, constructed in the mid-1980s, was originally landscaped with traditional and formal plantings, which eventually became overgrown and outdated. In a joint venture between Addison’s Public Works and Engineering and Parks and Recreation Departments, a landscape renovation project was set into motion with the development of a landscape plan in June of 2022. Landscape installation by Addison’s Parks Operations team began in August and was completed on September 21. The project has made a positive impact on the neighborhood with many citizens stopping by to say thanks for a job well done.
