Over the last few months, several single-family residential neighborhoods have reached out to staff requesting that repairs be made to their perimeter screening walls. The requested repairs are associated with walls that have not been historically maintained by the Parks Department. Most of the walls in question are located on private property and there is no record of a wall maintenance easement on the plat. At the September 27 City Council Work Session, Parks and Recreation Director Janna Tidwell shared with Council maps that identified single-family residential masonry perimeter screening walls in Town and their known maintenance responsibilities.

Council directed staff to conduct more research and provide additional information regarding ownership of the walls and a description of the wall maintenance easements that are in place. You can watch the Council's screening walls discussion here and read the presentation here.
