New Outside Pickleball Courts Officially Open

On Friday, June 17, avid pickleball players gathered to celebrate the opening of the new pickleball courts across the street from the Addison Athletic Club. The two outdoor courts, which are located on the tennis court, are a donation from the Addison Legacy Foundation whose support not only paid to stripe the courts, but also funded a locker for supplies, paddles, and balls. Council Members Ivan Hughes and Marlin Willeson joined Legacy Foundation Chairman Blake Clemens and Vice Chairman Bob Heckman to mark the occasion. Special thanks to Addison resident Ben Paquette for spearheading the effort. The pickleball courts can be reserved by calling the Athletic Club at 972-450-7048.
