Brazilian Federal Highway Police Delegation Visits Addison Town Hall

On Tuesday, July 26, Mayor Joe Chow, Executive Director of Business Performance and Innovation Hamid Khaleghipour, and Addison Police Lieutenant Brian Pietsch welcomed a delegation from the Brazilian Federal Highway Police to Town Hall. The group wanted to learn more about Addison's use of license plate readers (LPRs) and the Addison Police Department's (APD) new in-car cameras and body cameras. The Addison City Council approved the purchase of the LPRs from Vigilant Solutions in April 2021 and the new in-car and body cameras for APD from Axon Systems in August 2021. Representatives from Vigilant Solutions asked Addison to host this law enforcement group and share the Town's experiences.
