If you have previous Law Enforcement experience, you can apply and receive Lateral Transfer status.

The Addison Police Department will offer lateral pay for those applicants with prior, full-time, law enforcement experience in a patrol or investigative capacity. This applies to military, federal, state, and local jurisdictions (out of state experience is accepted).

Lateral Transfer starting salaries are dependent on the applicant's experience in law enforcement. The table below shows the starting salaries for lateral entry officers based on experience:
