Police Officers Recognized with Preservation of Life Awards

At the City Council Meeting on July 25, Police Chief Paul Spencer presented Officers Gutierrez and Meraz with the Preservation of Life Award. Both officers responded to an injured person call on June 15 where they found someone who was bleeding profusely after cutting his hand. Officers quickly applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding and paramedics arrived a short time later to take over patient care.
