Vitruvian Park Public Infrastructure Phase 9, Block 701, is located at the northeast corner of Vitruvian Way and Bella Lane and is a part of the Vitruvian Development. The Master Facilities Agreement between Addison and UDR provides the allocation and expenditure of authorized funds to design and construct the public infrastructure improvements necessary to support the private development.
The scope of work for this project will include miscellaneous demolition of existing pavement and street lighting, construction of new pavement, enhanced sidewalks, street lighting, holiday lighting, landscape planting, and irrigation.
Status Updates
December 2023:
The remaining landscape work will begin in February 2024 due to coordination between the streetscape construction and vertical building construction.
August 2023:
Before the start of construction a coordination meeting was held between UDR private development improvements and the horizontal construction contractor, Dean Electric.
August 8th is the anticipated issuance date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) to start construction. Construction commencement is should begin by mid-August.
July 2023:
City Council awarded the project to Dean Electric Inc. on July 11th. The pre-construction meeting is scheduled for July 25th. Construction is anticipated to begin in August of 2023.
May 2023:
Construction bids were closed. A recommendation of award will go to City Council at the July 11, 2023 meeting.
April 2023:
The design for the project is completed, and construction was advertised for proposals on CIVCAST.
February 2023:
The engineer is currently addressing the final design comments.
January 2022:
City Council authorized a Professional Services Agreement with Icon Consulting Engineers for design services associated with Sanitary Sewer & Water Improvements - Vitruvian Park Public Infrastructure Phase 9, Block 701.
