Local Restaurants Recognized with Foodservice Safety and Sanitation Awards

Olive Garden Accepts Addison Award for Food Safety

Addison's Environmental Health Division implemented a Foodservice Safety and Sanitation Award for restaurants last year that recognizes restaurants that did an excellent job with food safety and sanitation throughout the previous year. At the September 27 Council Meeting, Environmental Health Manager Sandra Long presented awards to this year's recipients of this special honor. 

Awards were given in three restaurant categories: full-service, fast food, and sandwich / deli. The winners are:

  • Full-Service Restaurant: Olive Garden
  • Fast Food Restaurant: Chick-fil-A and Shake Shack 
  • Sandwich/Deli: Dunn Brothers

Congratulations to all four restaurants and thank you for your dedication to providing safe food for the Addison community.  A special shout-out to Shake Shack for its second win in a row!
