Council Makes Board and Commission Appointments

The City Council made appointments to the Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Adjustment at its December 8 meeting.

Planning and Zoning Commission Appointments
The Planning and Zoning Commission members may serve up to three consecutive two-year terms and has three members with terms expiring in December 2020. The next term of office begins in January of 2021 and expires in December of 2022. Nancy Craig (nominated by Deputy Mayor Pro Tempore Quintanilla) and John Meleky (nominated by Council Member Walden) were reappointed. Denise Fansler (nominated by Council Member Willesen) was appointed to replace Kathryn Wheeler.
 

Board of Zoning Adjustment Appointments
The Board of Zoning Adjustments has three members with terms expiring this year. Individuals appointed to the Board may serve up to three consecutive two-year terms and will begin the next term in January of 2021. Lary Brown (nominated by Council Member Willesen) was reappointed. Darren Gardner (nominated by Deputy Mayor Pro Tempore Quintanilla) and Jimmy Niemann (nominated by Council Member Walden) were newly appointed.

Community Partners Bureau
The Community Partners Bureau is comprised of residents appointed by Council to represent the Town of Addison with its Community Partners (non-profit organizations). Council has postponed appointing members to the Community Partners Bureau until January. Applications will be available next week on the Town's website at www.addisontexas.net.
