An Important Reminder about Trash Collection

Just a reminder that Addison's Residential Trash Ordinance allows our trash contractor to begin collections as early as 7am on Mondays and Thursdays. It also allows residents to put trash out anytime after 6pm the night before.

 

Since CWD canceled trash collection on Thursday, February 3 due to the storm, they brought in extra crews to help with pick up on Monday, February 7 anticipating a larger-than-normal volume of collections. To ensure that they were able to service everyone, they varied their typical schedule and were in some neighborhoods earlier than usual. Unfortunately, this meant that some residents who did not have their trash out by 7am missed the collection.

 

CWD has GPS tracking devices on their trucks that monitor their crews' routes. If you ever have a question about missed service, they can use this tool to track your home's collection. You can reach CWD at 972-392-9300 (Option 2).
